Skypride takes pride on the gold coast to new heights
The Gold Coast skyline became the backdrop for one of the city's most spectacular Pride celebrations as SKYPRIDE transformed the SkyPoint Observation Deck into a glittering showcase of LGBTQIA+ culture, community and entertainment.
Held 77 floors above Surfers Paradise, the sold-out event was the first of its kind on the Gold Coast, bringing together one of the city's most iconic landmarks with one of its longest-standing LGBTQIA+ venues - through a unique partnership between Hairy Mary's owner Steven Fahd and SkyPoint.
The all-inclusive experience featured a selection of cocktails and gourmet canapés, adding a touch of luxury to an already unforgettable Pride celebration.
The overwhelming response saw tickets sell out ahead of the event, cementing SKYPRIDE as one of the standout celebrations of Pride Month and demonstrating the growing demand for premium LGBTQIA+ experiences on the Gold Coast.
Throughout the night, local DJs, drag artists and entertainers took centre stage with high-energy sets, dancefloor anthems and spectacular production shows, celebrating the incredible depth of LGBTQIA+ talent that calls the Gold Coast home.
"SKYPRIDE exceeded every expectation. Seeing more than 300 people celebrate together 77 floors above the Gold Coast was a milestone for our LGBTQIA+ community. Our partnership with SkyPoint proved what's possible when organisations champion inclusion, and everyone who joined us absolutely brought the party. This is only the beginning."

Pink Carpet Media Wall
Guests were welcomed with a pink-carpet media wall and live DJ before ascending to the observation deck for an unforgettable evening of music, performances and breathtaking panoramic views.
If Gold Coast Pride Collective Fair Day earlier that day laid the foundation for a new era of Gold Coast Pride, then SKYPRIDE showed just how high the community can soar.
Together, the two events reflected a renewed confidence in the city's LGBTQIA+ community and a future where world-class Pride celebrations are no longer the exception, but the expectation.
