What’s on this Easter Long Weekend?

There’s something about Easter on the Gold Coast - a long weekend, a bit of mischief in the air, and the perfect excuse to get your crew together.

At Hairy Mary’s, it’s also become one of our favourite times of the year.

“It’s pretty special to see how far things have come,” says owner Steven Fahd. “Two years in and we’ve got this incredible community around us and a stellar line-up of events for Easter to match.”

From Thursday through to Sunday, we’re keeping things fun, a little chaotic (in the best way), and very, very social.

🐰 Thursday 2 April - Mad Bunny Masquerade

We’re kicking things off with something playful this Easter - It’s part dress-up, part dancefloor, and all about not taking things too seriously.

Our Mad Bunny Masquerade party is shaping up to be a great night, we have a special guest DJ, easter themed shows, and a room full of bunny ears, masks, and whatever else you decide to show up in.

Dress-up is encourage but not necessary. We will have a selection of mask available on the night too!

Its the perfect start to the long weekend, so no excuses - see you there!

🍝 Friday 3 April - Good Friday: Spag & Drag with The Golden Girls of Drag

We’re very excited to welcome back the Golden Girls of Drag to Hairy Mary’s. If you were here last time, you’ll know exactly what to expect: big laughs, camp classics, and that kind of chaotic, feel-good energy that fills the whole room.

This one’s a “sit down, settle in” with a spaghetti dinner, plenty of drinks, and an evening full of performances from Lucy Lockjaw, Carla M’World and Vira Brator.

It’s a ticketed night, and it does tend to fill up.

🥚 Saturday 4 April - All Sorts: Easter Edition

Saturday is for the dancefloor. All Sorts returns with an Easter edition, bringing together Hairy Mary’s residents Miss D & Butter Chard. With DJ Adam Cox behind the decks for a night that leans into good music, good energy, and a packed room.

No big agenda - just come down, grab a drink, and stay for the party!

🔥 Sunday 5 April - Redemption – Men’s Party (Hosted by Gold Coast Gay Events)

We’re wrapping up the long weekend with “Redemption” - a private men’s party hosted by Gold Coast Gay Events. This team really knows how to put on something memorable. It’s a ticketed event, with more details available online.
