Hairy Mary's has released the results of its first Sapphic Community Survey, offering new insight into what lesbian, queer, bisexual, pansexual and sapphic-identifying women and non-binary people are looking for from their local LGBTQIA+ venue. The findings revealed a strong desire for more than just dance parties, with respondents calling for genuine connection, greater sapphic representation and a stronger sense of community. The survey highlighted demand for more inclusive social events, community meet-ups, live entertainment and increased visibility of sapphic DJs, performers, drag kings and local artists, helping shape the future direction of sapphic programming on the Gold Coast.
